We’re Peace and Tom.

We’re a half-british, half-tanzanian couple that met while watching the 2023 Rugby World Cup at the Slow Leopard Hostel in Dar Es Salaam.

Since then, apart from a few spells of long distance, we’ve spent most of our time living together in Dar. In early 2025, when Tom’s Tanzanian visa expired (again!), we decided to that instead of going long distance again, we’d start travelling together.

In that time, we’ve explored more of Tanzania (including Zanzibar and Arusha), Kenya, and Uganda. Along the way we picked up so many stories we decided to start East Africa Travel POP as a space where we can shareall we’ve learned and discovered along the way
